International Symposium on Interstitial Cells of Cajal

The 5th International Symposia on Interstitial Cells of Cajal (‘ISICC V’) will take place in Ireland during August 2007.

The field of ICC research has recently experienced something of a mini revolution, changing the way we think about the generation of electrical activity in organs containing smooth muscle. The purpose of this meeting is to have an active and frank discussion about new findings in the ICC field and to look for possible generalities in structure and function between species and organs.

We will emphasize new information and provide time for ample debate and discussion, as has been the tradition for this series of meetings during the past four iterations.

The 2007 conference will be held at the Nuremore Hotel and Country Club, Carrickmacross, County Monaghan, from Monday 20th to Wednesday 22nd August 2007 inclusive.

The primary sponsors of the conference are Science Foundation Ireland, the Health Service Exective(Ireland) and Andor Technology.
